Six business models in EdTech are likely to strengthen the Indian EdTech start-ups industry. The six business models in EdTech are listed below:

  1. Celebrities Take on Mentoring Roles: Just a handful of the firms in this sector include FrontRow, Mento, and CelebritySchool. Deepika Padukone, for example, endorsed FrontRow. It features numerous celebrity teachers, including Yuzvendra Chahal and Suresh Raina, Neha Kakkar, and comedian Biswa Kalian Rath, according to sources. Manoj Bajpayee, who teaches acting, Ruskin Bond, who teaches literature, and Sania Mirza, who teaches tennis, are among the notable personalities who have taken lessons at Unlu.   2. Preschoolers’ Edutainment: Kutuki and OckyPocky, as well as Kiddopia and PlayShify, are some of the most well-known EdTech start-ups. A song-based curriculum and proprietary tales are used in this sub-sector. This enables the employment of teachers, as well as voice, vernacular, and video. These are edutainment applications, which provide education via entertainment. Math, language skills, and social-emotional education are among the services offered by EdTech start-ups.
  3. Providing Skills That Are Useful in the Workplace: In today’s employment market, there is a significant disparity between a company’s value in terms of abilities and education. SkillLync and AttainU are two educational technology platforms that use this to their advantage. The ever-widening gap between engineering students’ and industry’s expectations has resulted in a global scarcity of engineering expertise. Teachmint is a Bengaluru-based business that allows instructors to use their cell phones to create virtual classrooms.   5. Coaching in Dance, Music and Other Extracurricular Activities: Following the pandemic, schools and universities were able to immediately go online.
